| Yurts
If you are looking for something more luxurious, consider renting a Yurt for a couple of days. These tent-like structures are heated, furnished and available year round.
Perhaps you have been thinking about winter camping but don't believe your equipment is suitable. Maybe you want something more comfortable than a tent and air mattress. Ontario Parks is pleased to introduce to campers the opportunity to rent a Yurt.
Twelve furnished campsites are located in Area 1 of Riverside campground. Each site includes an 8 sided tent-like structure called a Yurt that is attached to a wheelchair accessible platform. Each Yurt includes bunks for accommodating 6 people, table and chairs, electric lighting and a heater for cool weather camping. In addition, a gas barbecue for cooking is supplied with each facility.
The Yurts have been really popular and are normally booked on weekends. We strongly recommend making a reservation before you visit the park. Yurts can be reserved for a minimum of two nights. For more information about Yurts and fees please refer to Pinery Yurts.
Please note that pets are not permitted in Yurts. |
